Our Human Factors Success Stories…….

Client: Harrods Aviation

Date: April 2020 onwards

Client Objective:

Harrods Aviation have been a long-term client of Argent Advancements, with classroom based Human Factors sessions taking place regularly at the Fixed Base Operators’ facilities at both Stansted and Luton Airports. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, many of Harrods Aviation’s team members were working from home in 2020, and social distancing meant that coming together in the classroom was not easy or safe. Harrods Aviation’s Training Manager, Elaine Allan, reached out to Argent Advancements to seek an appropriate solution for the changing training needs of the business.

Solution:

The nature of Harrods Aviation’s operations are rather unique, so it was important to find a solution that recognised this.  Argent Advancements already had pre-recorded video learning modules available, but we felt a bespoke package would be a preferable solution. As Harrods Aviation naturally gives safety their utmost due care and attention, it was essential to create something that would engage the Harrods Aviation team and give confidence to their customers and regulatory authorities that this was more than a “tick in the box” training exercise.

Argent Advancements wrote and produced a bespoke Human Factors course which met the needs of the Fixed Based Operator environment. The course consisted of short video modules which were hosted on a dedicated Learning Management System with Harrods Aviation branding. Each team member had their own login and could work at their own pace. The team were easily able to open the material from home and fit their learning around their shift patterns and family lives.

To date, over 140 team members at Harrods Aviation have successfully passed the mandatory training course. Following the success of the Human Factors training course, Argent Advancements have now produced a bespoke Safety Management Systems training course for Harrods Aviation, which meets their IS-BAH requirements.

Client: Aerospace Warranty Management

Date: 28th April 2021

Client Objective:

The team at Aerospace Warranty Management (AWM) had been on furlough during the Covid -19 Pandemic and were just returning to working in the office together. The company directors wanted to give back to their team and provide them with an opportunity to understand the importance of error reporting and self care.

Solution:

AWM had enquired about our online courses but were excited to learn that Argent Advancements could provide a bespoke day’s training in the classroom to meet their specific wishes. Argent Advancements designed a day’s training that focused on Human Factors and Error Management during the morning, and mental health, resilience and wellbeing in the afternoon.

The training day was very successful and we look forward to working closely with AWM again soon.
